Busch Gardens Tampa Bay announced the closing of Kumba, which has served guests for the past 33 years. It is set to close on August 2nd, and will be replaced with "Kumba's Revenge."

New mountain coaster coming to Ohio

Hocking Hills is getting Ohio's first mountain coaster. It will contain 3,640 feet of track and have speeds up to 26 mph. The coaster will break ground on August 1st, and will open in 2027.

Carowinds announces new record-breaking log flume ride

Rip Roarin' Falls was recently announced as a new record-breaking log flume, set to be built next year. It breaks three world records, possessing the tallest log flume drop, the tallest reverse drop, and the tallest reverse camelback.

Swedish amusement park fined for derailment incident

Grona Lund was fined nearly $600,000 for a derailing incident that occurred on the Jetliner roller coaster in 2023, where nine were injured and one was killed.

Tom Hamilton (member of Aerosmith) spotted at
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster​

Tom Hamilton, the bassist for the rock band Aerosmith, was seen at Disney's Hollywood Studios, riding Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (presumably) for the final time before it closes on March 2nd, 2026, for its makeover into Muppet theming.
