Space Mountain is easily the most beloved roller coaster in the world. The ride is totally dark, with ultra-tight turns, unexpected drops, and trains that are only comparable to the Matterhorn Bobsleds. The truly incredible aspect of Space Mountain is its aging throughout the years, which remains impressive despite its increased downtime. For many people, and even those who weren't around in its early years, the nostalgia of Space Mountain goes unmatched, as the ride's design, music, and overall experience remains frozen in-time from the day that it opened. When considering these factors, it's easy to see why Space Mountain is one of (if not) the most influential theme park rides in history.
