Magnum XL-200 was the first ever hyper coaster and is arguably the most important roller coaster at Cedar Point, which paved the way for everything else after it. In terms of the ride itself, it has a strong layout with numerous moments of powerful ejector airtime. However, it cannot be talked about without mentioning its roughness and lack of comfort. Magnum hasn't aged well in terms of track smoothness, and it continues to lose popularity because of it. Like Corkscrew, the location is a strong suit, with the ride overlooking the beach, waterpark, and Lake Erie.
